Arizona

We contract with a democratic group to cover a critical access hospital on the Arizona/Mexico border. In this setting we work exclusively in the “high-acuity” section managing Level 1 and 2 cases, replete with “bordertown” pathology (such as wall-jumpers, drownings, drug overdoses, heat exhaustion, etc).

New Mexico

New Mexico was our first love, and where we began our expansion. We contract with two of the largest systems in New Mexico, and work from Espanola down to Carlsbad, including almost all of the hospitals within Albuquerque. The city of Espanola continues to fight a surge of drug (heroin) trafficking and overdoses, while Albuquerque serves a high-volume, low-income population, with high medical acuity and a vast amount of trauma. Finally, Roswell is a unique critical access hospital - like Espanola - with limited speciality back-up, and single coverage for a low-income medically complex population. Additionally, we partner with a staffing company to cover three of their hospitals - single coverage - in the southern portion of the state, with similar patient demographics.

Texas

Texas is our home. Dr. Patel is on faculty at the Baylor College of Medicine, home to one of the largest county hospitals in the country. This is Houston’s Level 1 Trauma Center (alongside Memorial Hermann) that serves a large immigrant, indigenous, homeless, and prison population, averaging over 80,000 visits per year.

We also contract with military hospitals in Central Texas, a freestanding emergency room north of Houston, and a border town hospital in West Texas that has high levels of trauma and minimal speciality back-up (and borders a town in Mexico that is replete with cartel violence). Finally, we provide coverage to the first emergency room founded in the city of Houston, with a large inner-city homeless population in need of psychiatric care.

Missouri

We currently staff a large hospital system in Missouri that is a Level 2 Trauma designation with a high volume of Pediatrics. We also venture close to the Missouri-Illinois border to cover a rural, critical access hospital alongside their employed physicians, also with minimal speciality back-up.

Louisiana

We work specifically in New Orleans, covering multiple hospitals for the Ochsner System. From West Bank to Kenner, LA, these populations are underserved and medically complex, with high volumes of pediatric acuity.

Vermont

We have been serving a critical access hospital in Vermont for 2 years. In this practice setting we are single coverage, and serve a vast rural population with limited access to care and pathologies related to agriculture and poor PCP access.
